CED Santa Rosa Repair Services

This page is intended to help our customers decide what options are available when deciding whether to buy exchange components or send their components in to get repaired or remanufactured.

Sometimes our customers do not know what is considered to be a repairable component. When deciding whether to repair, or not, customers should consider the following:

  1. Turn-around time. How long before I get my component back and installed on the plant floor?
  2. What is the cost versus buying new?
  3. What is the warranty?
  4. Will the repaired part be as good as a new part?

So what is considered a repairable item? Usually it's the really expensive components like displays, industrial computers, touch-screens, controllers or PLC's, I/O cards, Variable Speed Drives, or Soft Starters. Even large contactors and starters can be repaired. Motors, servo motors, servo drives, and other motion controllers are repairable items too.

Root Cause Analysis Failure Requests

Rockwell Automation takes pride in our ability to provide quality equipment to suit our customers' needs. In some instances however equipment or high-end components can fail. When this happens replacing it with a new or remanufactured component is typical, however there are times when repairs or replacements keep recurring with a specific piece of equipment and you want to know why. If you are unsure as to why it failed or why it keeps happening you may want to look into getting a Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) performed. A RCFA does more than just determine probable cause for the failure. Rockwell's team of highly trained engineers can get to the bottom of what may be causing the problem and provide a detailed report. This may be required to allocate responsibility for the failure, whether it's your power provider, installer, or other cause outside of normal operating conditions. Click here to see more details. To request a Root Cause Failure Analysis please note the cost is $750.00/component. To download and fill out the form click here.
